Environmental sustainability at EyeOn

At EyeOn we set ambitious goals when it comes to environmental sustainability, with a focus on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and 13 (Climate Action).

SDG 12: responsible consumption and production SDG 13: climate action

Our sustainability goals are focused on four key areas: inspiring customers, generating sustainable revenues, working with sustainable partners, and working towards carbon neutrality.

Inspiring customers

As planning and forecasting experts, we have completed many projects over the past years that resulted in significant sustainability improvements for businesses. With this experience we are convinced that through better planning and forecasting, we can actively help our customers achieve better business results while also contributing to a better world. It’s our belief that good business results, customer satisfaction and sustainability go hand in hand.

sustainability, connect, insights, optimizationEyeOn is committed to aid customers in implementing sustainable planning solutions at scale. The link between planning and sustainability has the potential to materialize in the areas of:

  • Balancing the value chain
  • Valorizing all materials
  • Preventing waste and obsolete inventory
  • Circularity within supply chains

We continuously improve our proposition and implement solutions aligned to these areas among our customers.
EyeOn is known for hosting high-quality webinars and knowledge sharing events. Sharing our knowledge and expertise is an important part of our offering to our customers and our duty as experts in the field. We have expanded this to sustainability, where we regularly hold webinars and events related to sustainable planning. We invest in research within the sustainable supply planning space, to provide solutions to our customers’ business needs and to innovate within the field of sustainable planning. We work to expand and grow the range of sustainable topics that we can educate others on. We also partner with leading universities to research and innovate in the sustainable planning space. We are committed to regularly publishing whitepapers on topics at the intersection of planning and sustainability.

Sustainable revenues and partners

As sustainability becomes more and more of a necessity, we are making a conscious effort to ensure that we maximize our sustainable impact. This is two-fold; we firstly aim to work with customers that have a keen focus on sustainability, and who are making positive progress towards the UN SDGs. We also try to maximize the number of internal and customer projects with a sustainable aspect. We strive to increase the proportion of sustainable projects each year.

We consider our partners as both the customers that we work with, as well as companies we source products and services from. We have made great efforts in recent years to ensure that we source products for quarterly incentives and other corporate gifts from local and environmentally friendly sources.

Carbon reduction

sport, bike, bicycleOur belief is that all global citizens and corporations have a responsibility for their own carbon consumption. There are three aspects to consider when looking at carbon consumption: measuring, reducing, and offsetting.

We will begin our journey to carbon neutrality by measuring the carbon footprint that we generate collectively as a company. This will be our starting point for reducing our consumption and becoming more environmentally friendly. As we are growing, we endeavor to reduce our carbon consumption per employee each year.

In terms of reduction of carbon emissions, the main area we wish to target is transport. We have established clear travel guidelines for our consultants to help reduce their transport carbon footprint when visiting customers and colleagues. We incentivize colleagues to use electric vehicles or public transport. Through our responsible travel policy, our aim is also to inspire customers to think consciously about the carbon footprint that we generate during the execution of our projects. Where it is not possible to reduce the carbon footprint for travelling, we offset the remaining emissions.
