Employee well-being at EyeOn

As an employer, EyeOn is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of its employees. At EyeOn, we want to ensure that our employees feel safe, happy, challenged, and satisfied at work. EyeOn has put measures in place to prevent situations that could affect employees’ physical and mental well-being, such as work-related stress. Our motivation for ensuring employee well-being aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

SDG goal 3: good health and well-being SDG 8: decent work and economic growth

EyeOn focuses on three areas that address the key sources of employee well-being:

Flexible work environment

We know that our employees thrive in a safe and open work environment and when given the freedom and flexibility to work in a way that works best for them. We put a lot of effort into creating this environment within EyeOn. We encourage and promote flexible working for all employees, including part time work and promoting home office. We also put a high importance on work-life balance and ensure that our employees can balance personal and professional commitments and goals. One way we achieve this is by assigning projects based on the employee’s development goals and values.

Open communication

Our flat hierarchy, one of the cornerstones of our company culture, goes a long way in ensuring that our employees know their voice is important and is heard. As well as ensuring that our employees have confidence and trust in their colleagues, this culture of openness and approachability facilitates more open discussions on topics that matter to our people, resulting in a more productive, creative, and constructive working environment. The internal events that we run each year provide regular opportunities for employees to share ideas, opinions and play an integral role in the management of the company. Our Internal Planning Inspiration Days events that we run twice per year are a great example of this.

We acknowledge that there is a fine line between a level of pressure that stimulates and motivates employees and one that induces stress. The open communication within our organisation helps in monitoring this and our management is experienced in noticing the signs of overworking. Our coach and buddy system ensures, that there is clear communication about each employees’ workload.

We invest resources in employee satisfaction assessments to ensure that as a company, we are keeping our promises outlined in this document. We will continue to make constructive progress to ensure that as our company grows, employee satisfaction remains a priority at EyeOn. We regularly run a survey to measure employee satisfaction. This survey is one of many ways that we ensure our employees are happy at work.

Diversity

At EyeOn everyone matters, and everyone counts. We are committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive and diverse work environment where all employees are treated with dignity, respect, and equality. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives; it positions us better to acquire, develop and maintain the right talent, and to provide the best possible results for our customers. EyeOn has established equal content driven recruitment and selection criteria regardless of gender, race, religion, etc. for all recruitment processes. We are proud of the steps we have made in recent years to become more diverse as a company and we aim to continue on this trajectory (e.g. become involved in networks that promote women careers).
